Introducing adoptable Gummy Bear!
He had his incisors removed just this week and is already eating up a storm without the "destructor teeth"*
Gummy Bear has an outgoing personality and anyone would be lucky to adopt him. He's already neutered, vaccinated, using his litterbox and is cleared for adoption. There is a chance the teeth will grow back; if that happens, we'll take him back to the veterinarian to have them removed again.

Rabbits do well without their front teeth as long as they can eat food that's not too wide and doesn't require biting off pieces. Pellets, short strands of hay and stemmed veggies like parsley, cilantro, dandelion, dill or lettuce cut into strips are all easy for them to navigate.

*Front teeth are used for biting cords, baseboards, and people in addition to pieces of food. The food grinding is done with the back teeth, and his look good.

We would never remove incisors unless necessary for MEDICAL reasons. It's a big operation for a bunny. The good news for Gummy Bear is that front-toothless rabbits can live free roam with minimal bunny-proofing!
